Discover Montreal Culture - Free 5-Hour Cultural Tour

We gather participants at Place d'Armes in Old Montreal. We get an introduction to the tour, including welcome and safety rules and an overview of the itinerary.

We start your tour by visiting the Notre-Dame Basilica, an architectural masterpiece. We discuss the history of the Basilica and its importance in Montreal's cultural heritage. Opportunity for participants to explore the interior and take photos.

We walk to the Old Port of Montreal, a historic waterfront area. We explore the history of the Old Port, its transformation and its role in the city's culture. Offer information about nearby cultural attractions such as the Montreal Science Center (visit optional).

We wander around Place Jacques-Cartier, a lively public square with street performers and local artists. We discuss the cultural significance of the square and its role in the city's cultural events. We encourage participants to interact with local artists.

Head to the Montreal Museum of Fine Arts and discover its artistic heritage. Discuss the museum's collections, history and cultural contributions (visit is optional).

Short break for participants to purchase drinks (not provided) or rest.

We end the tour with a visit to Montreal's entertainment district, the Quartier des Spectacles. We discuss the region's role in cultural events, festivals and shows. Provide additional information, answer questions, and thank participants for joining the tour.
